Got the Hook Up...

So I know this guy that works at EB (soon to be GameStop) he usually comes in my bank. Today he came in and let me know that the PS3 might be going up for presale some time in July. So I have a couple more months to save up before i have to lay out my money for the gaming giant. Its nice to have a hook up. Not that he will get one for me first but he does have my card and should call the day they go on sale. Save me one Bitches!!

The End is the just a new Start Button

Well E3 is over, and i am very sad. I think the G4 team said it best when they were talking about how great this holiday season will be for games, But Sessler hit the nail on the head "Now i will just go home and look at my current Gen games and say 'You're just not good enough anymore.'" Very true Adam, I am selling off all my old games acttualy as we speak and to make sure they all worked i went thru and played all my old games from NES to 64 and wow its amazing that a few short years can change your whole perspective on games.

Playing thru Perfect Dark again was painful at best, it looked like a 4 year old had hand drawn most of the screens with a crayon. But back in the day we were amazed that games could look that good, and to think that in another 6 months we will look back at the PS2 games and think the same thing. Crazy how things change in such a short amount of time.

So just like E3 its over, i will now be selling off about 15 years of my childhood by selling my Nes Super and Nintendo 64 systems and games. It was pretty painful to think that i might not ever be able to go back and play Super Metroid and enjoy it like i used to. I gave Mother Brain one more chance to Die at the hands of my Plazma Beam and then i turned it off for the last time. So long Space Pirates, and a flight of angles sing the to thy rest...

Nintendo's Wii

The Nintendo Wii, ladies and gentelmen. Now besides the fact that it has one of the strangest names i have ever heard, it doesn't look like much of a system. But if Nintendo and The Reginator have taught me anything during E3 it's that looks can be very deceptive.

This little system (and it is small) packs a huge punch. Not only does the controller introduce true user orientated movements, but it also is plays EVERY nintendo game ever made (via internet download). After watching the demos and hands on use of the controller and the system in general i can honestly say i am very Very impressed with the system now.

Though the PS3 will probably win my dollars for the console, if i happen to win the lottery or someone were to give me a Nintendo Wii, i would not turn it down at all.

I can't wait to see more about this new and very facinating system in the future.

Buuzzzzzzzzzz.....

Can you hear it? Thats right E3 is back. I have only yet to begin to watch the coverage of the Expo and already i am jumping up an down with joy over the Playstation 3. Watched a guy playing the new Untold Legends for the PS3 while talking to Morgan Webb (of X-Play fame) on G4 from last night, it was awesome. Not that i really care all that much for the frachise of the game but it looked pretty sweet. Can't wait to see more, and i will blog about everything that i come across.

Start Robbin' Banks...

Sony FINALLY broke the news today, the Playstation will be in stores for Nov. 17th and will be available in two bundles. Either the Low end Bundle with the 20Gb HDD for $499 or with the 60Gb HDD for $599. Sheeeeww boy thats a lot of clams! Well i guess it's to be expected since the system will play Blu-Ray DVD's (the player alone is estimated to cost $700) and the chip that makes the PS3 run (Cel-Processor) is the best chip on the market, better than most highend PCs on the market now. That and Sony is said to be taking a $800 Million Dollar Bath on the system simply to start the Blu-Ray craze. They are hoping that they will make the money back when the DVD's pick up.

You can find out all the details watching G4 tonight and the next 4 nights at 6pm. They are doing 3 hours a night live from E3. Or you can go to most any website but i like PS3.net.

Have fun there will be a lot of info coming out in the next few days with E3 here.

Tune in for more details later.

Back to the Future...

So i rented Tomb Raider Legend the other day. I am going to start renting again for several reasons: So i don't get stuck with shitty games, and b/c i don't need to be spending anymore money on games until the PS3 comes out.
So anyway Tomb Raider Legend is a Very good game. i heard the hype machine start up about this game when i read the review in my last OPM so i thought i would try it out. I have to say that im glad that i did. This game is by far the best since the first Tomb Raider. It took the series back to where its roots were. (Indiana Jones with a chick) It fixed the Ridiculous learning curve that the last several had, and the horrible camera from the last game. Its a beautiful game thats very smooth and is actually a lot of fun to play. Even when you die b/c you missed a trap its fun to just go back and try to figure out how to bypass the trap trip. But it is also kinda fun just to do a swan dive off a highrise apartment building or a cliff in some exotic local. Bottom line is this game is fun and if i weren't strapped for cash i would probably buy it.
Now i am just waiting to see what the Tomb Raider Legend for the PSP is like.
