Playstation 3

So i've been reading a lot of press about the new playstation and i can't decide if its just me or good press, but i can't wait for this thing to come out. In case you didn't notice i am a huge game dork and cannot wait to buy the newest and best thing out there.

I got the PS2 first day (even took the day off from work) and i got the new PSP when that came out at midnight (no day off just went out and got it home and back to sleep).
I actually may have to wait a little to get the PS3 if it comes out too soon b/c im still paying on my wedding and things like that.

...Anyway, i've heard that it could cost anywhere from $300 to $900, and could come out either this spring, fall, or next year. Im willing to bet that the more acurate of the predictions is around $400 and will be out intime for the shopping season for next christmas. Sony doesn't want Microsoft to have two holiday seasons under their belt before they get any solid comp.

This is shaping up to be quite a console war, and i hope beyond hope that we (the consumers) don't turn out to be the losers in this fight. Price battles, exclusive titles, time, and so many other factors could prove to be a bad thing when its all said and done.

Resident Evicted!!!

So i beat Resident Evil 4 the other day. Fucking awesome!! It took me about 20 hours of play to beat the game.

Now that i have beaten it you get to start all over again with all the same weapons that you had at the end of the game (very rare in most games) so i decided to play it again. And i beat it again in half the time. still a lot of fun and i can't wait to go back to it again.

First let me explain the title of my post. I bought Doom on dvd last week or so.

Second, I love cheesey movies, horror movies to be exact. There isn't really a horror movie on the market that has scared me since i was a kid. Most are predictable and full of crappy one liners and horrible acting. But the really good ones are the movies that know they are bad and don't take themselves to seriously. Like all the Friday the 13th movies, Nightmare on Elm St, and Sleep Away Camps. Full of cheese, Fine Cheese.

I don't know if Doom should be taken as a serious movie at all but given the fact that the Rock is one of (NOT the main character in the movie, that goes to Karl "Knight of Rohan" Urban) the people that im watching on the screen i don't think it was ment to be taken to seriously.

All that being said... This movie is flippin' sweet! It follows the path of the games perfectly. From the start of the Mars Mine down to how everyone in the games got their start (and name). One of the best parts and one put in the movie just for the game fans, is the 5 min one shot run of a firstperson view at the end of the movie. Just the fact that they did it all in one take is sweet that and the fact that it really looks just like the game. The acting is forgetable, no big stand out one liners (except one guy saying he had to take a crap). Overall the movie is great it you are like me and like a bad horror movie and don't mind the fact that it is based on a game. Its worth a rent to most any fan, but you probably only want to buy if your a hardcore fan.

RE4 Update!!

This game is SWEET!!! the reviews are right. By far the best game of 2005! If you own a Game Cube you owe it to yourself to go out and purchase this game. I am stunned (and a little Dissapointed) that a game could look this good on the GC and almost nothing else does. Rent it buy it either way once you start playin it will own YOU!!

Late Resident...

Yeah so this sweet ass game came out about a year ago, maybe you heard of it, Resident Evil 4.. Yeah it was kinda popular. Well im a broke ass mofo due to this wedding coming up, but my good Friend Bill got me a $20 GC to EBGames the other day and since RE4 is only twenty smackers now... I finally picked it up.

I have played the demo for the game and seen about eleventybillion reviews of the game so i know what im getting into but i can't wait until i get off work tonight so i can veg out and play for like 4 hours. Wish me luck.

Oh and don't call cause i don't want to shit myself given the fact that i will probably be very tense while playing, since its that type of game.
